Vodafone integrates Oracle E-Business Suite with electronic invoice processing from ReadSoft

ReadSoft was chosen to install electronic invoices processing at Vodafone New Zealand. The cutting-edge software was installed in collaboration with ReadSoft´s partner Red Rock. A mere two months after the install, the system has increased efficiency by 50 percent at Vodafone.

Vodafone’s shared service center based in Auckland, New Zealand, bought and implemented the INVOICES/InvoiceIT–Oracle integrated solution from ReadSoft. One of the key goals of the center, which uses Oracle E- Business Suite, is to improve efficiency of financial processes by leveraging new technologies. ReadSoft’s solution is the first to provide advanced scanning technology with full integration into Oracle E-Business Suite. “Recently we decided to focus on users of Oracle Business Systems, and we have been successful. We now have a number of large clients integrating our solution with Oracle systems all over the world, and Vodafone is one of many companies that have chosen our solutions for electronic invoices processing,” says Jan Andersson, President of ReadSoft. All Vodafone invoices for Australia and New Zealand are dispatched to the shared service center in Auckland. The invoices are scanned, and Readsoft’s invoice-processing software does the rest of the work. After the correct information has been captured and interpreted, the information is matched and verified against Oracle E-Business Suite. InvoiceIT from ReadSoft is able to compare and validate information on invoices, such as order numbers, addresses, and total amounts, and it also ensures that data on the invoices corresponds to goods or services received. Validated invoices are then sent to Oracle E-Business Suite. Michael McManus, Commercial Payments Manager at Vodafone, explains: “We have gained a powerful workflow tool that is able to move and grow with our business. In our second month of using the solution, we processed 50 percent more invoices than our normal monthly volumes, the highest number of invoices we have ever processed.
