Recap Energy announces the acquisition of Tvinn to strengthen its business concepts offering both Energy as a Service (EaaS) and Battery as a Service (BaaS).

Recap Energy launches a new business area, Recap Power, and acquires Energy Management System specialist Tvinn to provide solutions that enable the energy transition and large-scale implementation of Energy Storage.

Tvinn will continue its current business providing smart energy management system, smart charging and ancillary services as a subsidiary in the Recap Group.

Tvinn’s deep knowledge and experience in design and development of robust, safe and smart energy management systems will strengthen Recap’s new business area Battery as a Service (BaaS) that was launched in May, where the client only pays for the capacity they utilize from the energy storage. BaaS will help clients reduce peak load problems and give UPS services without any investments of their own.

“The acquisition of Tvinn solidifies Recap’s commitment to provide an immediate solution to the urgent capacity shortage in Sweden, and other countries. Together with Tvinn, Recap has a rare combination of technical, commercial and financial competence enabling us to offer energy storage solutions to DSO´s, industries and commercials with flexible financing” says Marco Berggren, Founder and CEO at Recap Energy.

Since we started in 2018, we have been on a mission to solve the capacity challenge that will limit the energy transition and electrification of transport and industry. Together with Recap Energy we have a unique and strong offering that includes both smart energy management systems and batteries offered as a service. This is a game changer for customers that are facing capacity challenges” says Jonas Thyni, Co-founder and CEO of Tvinn.

Recap Energy is a Swedish company that provides flexible, customized, and fully financed clean energy solutions to C&I clients.
