TORONTO TO HOST THE WORLD’S LARGEST DJ COMPETITION
National champions from 21 countries head to Toronto from November 4–9 to compete for Red Bull Thre3Style World Champion title
What started as an underground experiment back in 2007 has quickly grown into the world’s largest DJ competition and, for the first time, the Red Bull Thre3Style World Finals will hit Toronto this November. Inbound from the four corners of the globe – from Albania to Argentina, from Jamaica to Japan - the 21 top DJs on earth will take over the city of Toronto to compete for the title of Red Bull Thre3Style World Champion.
Over a weeklong series of world-class music events, each DJ will engineer and perform a crowd pumping, 15-minute music set mixing at least three genres of music to a full house of concertgoers and judges, in order to showcase their technical prowess and melt the dance floor. All will come down to the World Championship final competition on November 9, where the last five DJs standing will battle for ultimate sonic supremacy and the most coveted DJ title on earth.
STAR JUDGES AND LIVE PERFORMANCES
This year’s judging panel will feature a roster of local and international DJ heavyweights, including Canada’s own Skratch Bastid, Grandtheft and Kid Koala as well as international musical tastemakers Jazzy Jeff and Jess Jubilee.
Some of the most influential names in the DJ industry, including A-Trak, Jazzy Jeff, Ali Shaheed Muhammad (A Tribe Called Quest), Kid Koala, Torro Torro and more, will also perform nightly across Toronto's premier concert venues. THE ROAD TO WORLD FINALS
In September, regional Qualifier events were held in 8 different cities across Canada. Each Qualifier winner competed at the Canadian Thre3Style National Final on October 6th, in Calgary, AB. Quebec’s Adam Doubleyou was crowned the Canadian winner of the National Final in Calgary and will be representing Canada at the grand finale.

Red Bull Thre3Style began as an underground experiment six years ago in Western Canada. In 2010, the event went global for the first time, effectively changing the face of modern DJ battles by pitting ten countries' top DJs against each other. Since then, in three short years, Red Bull Thre3Style has grown to what is now the largest DJ competition on earth. This year's competition features the top local DJs from 21 countries around the world, including Canada, Brazil, Croatia and Taiwan.
