TyreSafe membership inflates further

AIR-serv, one of the world’s leading suppliers of ancillary forecourt equipment, has joined TyreSafe following the group’s first ever industry roadshow. The recent event highlighted how companies from a wide range of sectors can get involved in promoting tyre safety, as well as giving an insight into the challenges the UK continues to face from defective and illegal tyres. As a result, the UK division of AIR-serv has put pen to paper and is TyreSafe’s newest commercial member. Stuart Jackson, chairman, TyreSafe, said: “It’s a testament to AIR-serv’s corporate and social responsibility efforts that it is helping us promote tyre safety. “The roadshow itself was a great success and goes to show that our message wasn’t ‘hot air’ but had a very important point for the tyre industry and many related sectors. We look forward to working closely with AIR-serv utilising its valuable insight and expertise to help us improve road safety further.” AIR-serv supplies ancillary forecourt equipment including air machines, vacuums and jet washers, and its products can be found on over 100,000 forecourts around the world. It was founded in the U.S. in the early 1970s and has its UK headquarters in Sheerwater, Surrey. “As a company, we are highly aware of the importance of correct tyre inflation and condition and all machines owned by AIR-serv on petrol forecourts are calibrated and documented at each regular service visit,” explains Clive Steel, sales and marketing director for AIR-serv. “TyreSafe has made fantastic progress over the last few years in raising awareness about these and other tyre safety issues and we are delighted to support and lend our weight to their campaigns.
