redheadPR are the proud sponsor of the Museum of Computing 10th Anniversary party, held in Swindon on Monday 8 July 2013 from 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm at 6-7 Theatre Square, Swindon, Wiltshire, SN1 1QN.
The award winning museum is devoted to the history of computing and digital development, it was the first physical museum of its kind in the UK dedicated to the history of computing.
The public relations consultancy becomes the latest Swindon-based sponsor of the decade old museum.
Sara Tye, Founder and Managing Director of redheadPR said: “It’s extremely important to me to support my local community. Technology is very important in society and The Museum of Computing is dedicated to preserving the history of technology and digital development.
“Thanks to the generosity of local businesses such as redheadPR and much goodwill from others, including Intel UK, councillors, other museums and volunteers, it was able to build an excellent reputation globally.”
The museum’s reputation was further enhanced in 2012 when it was awarded full accreditation from the Arts Council England.
It hosts a wide range of events including a weekly children’s computer club, where they learn to program, build robots and take part in various scientific experiments. This has proved so popular there is now a waiting list. The museum also runs the Swindon Hackspace where people with an interest in technology can get together and share ideas and resources to build, program and learn.
