Redsense Medical has signed a distribution agreement for Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania with the company Sormedica, a part of the Interlux group. The company also holds the distribution rights for directly compatible hemodialysis machines from Redsense’s collaboration partner Nikkiso. A first order is expected by the end of the year.

Interlux has over 30 years of experience and close to 100 employees offering a broad selection of medical technology solutions and products to approximately 700 clients within health care, research and biotechnology. The group will now be able to offer the Redsense system for market leading monitoring, alarm and automatic stop of the blood flow if a blood leakage occurs during hemodialysis to its clients.

“This is an excellent partner for us in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania as Interlux has a large and broad customer base that includes large companies as well as smaller private practices. Additionally, their focus on offering leading technology solutions means that our blood leakage alarm is a great fit for their overall concept,” says Patrik Byhmer, CEO of Redsense Medical.

During 2017, Redsense Medical has signed several distribution agreements in Europe with companies that also holds distribution rights for Nikkiso dialysis machines. The company’s Italian partner Spindial was in September selected as one of the winners in a large public procurement with an offer including Redsense and Nikkiso products. This result was declared final in December, and the first order is expected during the first quarter of 2018. Redsense Medical has a positive outlook on its chances to win additional, similar contracts in Europe during 2018.

About Redsense Medical

Redsense Medical is a corporate group with operations mainly in Europe and the United States. The company has developed the Redsense system, a medical technology product used for monitoring and alarm in the case of blood leakage in connection with hemodialysis. Redsense solves one of the most serious remaining safety problems within hemodialysis – to quickly detect venous needle dislodgement and catheter leakage. The system consists of a patented fiber optic sensor, designed for either venous needle or central venous catheter, which is connected to an alarm unit. From the very start, the development of the company's technology has been based on the demands and safety requirements of healthcare providers in the dialysis sector.
