Redsense Medical has signed a distribution agreement with Hemotech in France, a market with around 46 000 dialysis patients. The distributor will sell the company´s alarm system, used for monitoring and minimizing blood leakage, together with dialysis machines from Nikkiso that can be connected directly to the alarm system for substantially improved patient security.

With the agreement, that will come into effect on January 1, 2018, Redsense will have a strong distributor on one of the largest markets in Europe. Hemotech is the largest independent company on the dialysis market in France with almost 30 years of experience and over 90 percent of the country´s dialysis organizations as customers. In addition to France the company also covers the French Overseas territories: French Guiana, French Polynesia, Guadeloupe, New Caledonia, Martinique, Mayotte and Réunion.

”This agreement constitutes a substantial addition to our market presence in Europe together with a well-established distribution partner. Our partner will now be able to offer a complete, market leading solution for hemodialysis with our alarm system integrated from the start. Additionally, this agreement is yet another clear sign of the increasing market acceptance for our alarm system, which should increase our sales volume going forward”, says Patrik Byhmer, CEO of Redsense Medical.

About Redsense Medical
Redsense Medical is a corporate group with operations mainly in Europe and the United States. The company has developed the Redsense system, a medical technology product used for monitoring and alarm in the case of blood leakage in connection with hemodialysis. Redsense solves one of the most serious remaining safety problems within hemodialysis – to quickly detect venous needle dislodgement and catheter leakage. The system consists of a patented fiber optic sensor, designed for either venous needle or central venous catheter, which is connected to an alarm unit. From the very start, the development of the company's technology has been based on the demands and safety requirements of healthcare providers in the dialysis sector.
