Energy distribution company Agder Energi Nett is renewing its agreement concerning inspection services in Agder, West. The agreement commences on 1 January 2021 and will run for two years, with the possibility of extension for a further three years.

Rejlers will be responsible for carrying out inspections in the area in close cooperation with the Local Electrical Safety Inspection Authorities (DLE). The tasks range from electrical inspections of residential properties to audits of businesses and electrical contractors, as well as information dissemination.

"We are very pleased to have had Agder Energi Nett’s renewed trust and look forward to continuing our excellent partnership," says Asbjørn Hilde," Head of Rejlers Elsikkerhet in Norway.

The Local Electrical Safety Inspection Authorities (DLE) oversee electrical installations in homes and businesses, as well as electricity enterprises. Energy distribution companies are required to inspect electrical installations within their supply area. The inspections help to prevent accidents and fires with an electrical cause, as around half of all fires occur as a result of faults in electrical systems or the improper use of electrical equipment.
