Rejlers strengthens energy sector offerings with acquisition of HydroTerra Engineers
Rejlers has acquired the consulting company HydroTerra Ingenjörer AB, which specialises in technical solutions for hydropower. The acquisition is part of Rejlers’ growth strategy and means that the company is further broadening its offerings in the energy sector. HydroTerra is based in Karlstad in Sweden, and through the acquisition Rejlers is gaining eight new employees with cutting-edge expertise in hydropower construction and civil engineering works.
Since the company was founded 25 years ago, HydroTerra has grown into a recognised, competent and established player. The company offers technical services in hydropower engineering, construction and dam safety. Its primary customers are Sweden’s large and medium-sized power companies.
“The acquisition of HydroTerra gives Rejlers an excellent platform for growth in the hydropower segment. We want to continue to cultivate our already good relationships and further develop HydroTerra’s current business in terms of both competence and geography,” says Sara Kimell, Head of the Energy Division at Rejlers Sweden.
“We have a long-standing collaboration with Rejlers and look forward to becoming part of the company and its innovative and learning-focused corporate culture. The merger enables us to further develop our business, at the same time as we grow by gaining new skills and new employees,” says Finn Midböe at HydroTerra Ingenjörer AB.
The takeover of HydroTerra Ingenjörer AB will take place on 1 April 2021.
