Rejlers strengthens its fibre network operations and acquires Infrakonsult Syd

The purchase of Infrakonsult Syd means that Rejlers is strengthening its expertise in the fibre network field. At the same time, the company is gaining access to software for documentation adapted to medium-sized and small fibre networks with great business potential throughout Sweden.

“There are around 230 fibre networks throughout Sweden; most of them are small and medium sized. To-date, there has not been any documentation software adapted to their size and wallet,” says Lennart Karlsson, Business Manager in ICT/Telecom at Rejlers Sweden.

During the ongoing, rapid fibre expansion, documentation has suffered in many cases. The software available is developed for large network owners and is consequently both complicated to use and expensive. Stellan Sjögren, President of Infrakonsult Syd, is very pleased with the deal. Rejlers opens the door to a national market where there is an extensive need to document fibre networks.

“The experiences I’ve gained through the collaboration with local, municipally owned energy companies convinced me that there’s a major need for simpler documentation that makes the networks more robust throughout Sweden,” says Stellan Sjögren.

The five employees will become a part of Rejlers as of 1 September. The agreements Infrakonsult Syd has with multiple municipal companies in southern Sweden are included in the deal. At the end of the year, Rejlers expects the software to be fully developed for a national market. The development work and software licensing will be conducted in the company Fiberkollen, which is owned and operated jointly by Stellan Sjögren and Rejlers.
