Rejlers wins assignment for Heimstaden in sustainable buildings
Rejlers has been commissioned by the real estate company Heimstaden to audit more than 30 properties from an energy and sustainability perspective. The mapping aims to identify measures to improve the properties' energy performance and reduce climate emissions, to achieve the company's high environmental goals.
Heimstaden is a leading European residential real estate company with more than 150,000 homes in nine countries. The goal of the audit is to identify the measures required to achieve Heimstaden's high goals regarding energy performance and emissions.
“Our mission is to find efficient, innovative and sustainable solutions and Heimstaden has very high ambitions in this project. Instead of starting from return requirements, as is normally the case, we will focus on the goal, which in the long run is zero emissions, and investigate what measures are required to achieve this. We are proud of the trust from Heimstaden, which is at the forefront of energy efficiency”, says Katrine Lind, Business Manager Sustainable Buildings at Rejlers.
“We are continuously working to modernise our property portfolio and reduce our climate footprint. By implementing the right measure in each building, we will achieve our high goals, which in some cases means reducing energy consumption by half. Our vision 'Friendly Homes' is based on good management, both in terms of service and operations, and I look forward to seeing the results of the audit," says Roland Larsson, Head of Energy and Technical Operations at Heimstaden Sweden.
The energy audit project has begun and is expected to be completed already at the turn of the year.
