Agder Energi Nett has signed an agreement with Rejlers Elsikkerhet for monitoring the electrical installations in Agders counties. The agreement means the use of completely new digital tools that put the company at the cutting edge of the monitoring industry. The contract is for two years, with the option of a further two plus one year, and is worth around 125 million NOK.

The network companies are obliged to monitor electrical safety within their supplied areas. Monitoring is carried out through "Local electrical monitoring", which includes ensuring that electrical installations in both new builds and existing facilities are carried out according to the regulations.

"Rejlers won the contract because of their competence in rationalising processes. This is done by using Enoro's new digital tools for planning and implementing monitoring", says Svein Are Folgerø, CEO of Agder Energi Nett.

"We are very pleased that Agder Energi has chosen Rejlers again for another period. This shows that Rejlers does a good job and that Agder Energi is pleased with the work we have done on the monitoring so far," says Asbjørn Hilde, CEO of Rejlers Elsikkerhet.

Forward-thinking solutions
By using the new tools, the monitoring process can be made almost completely paper free. The tools are implemented in close collaboration between Agder Energi Nett, Rejlers and the system supplier, Enoro. Morten Thorkildsen, CEO of Rejlers Norge, says that the collaboration will put the company at the vanguard of development within the monitoring industry.

"When we start a new agreement period, we can allow ourselves to think in the longer term and invest in new, forward thinking solutions," says Thorkildsen.

"Enoro's digital field solutions, ElWin Avtale and ElWin Ute, are market leading tools for planning and implementation of monitoring. The solutions are a result of development that is based on industry expertise and a close dialogue with our customers. At Enoro, we are delighted to continue our work with Agder Energi Nett and Rejlers," says Johnny Haugsbakk, CEO for Enoro Norge.

The local electrical monitoring in the Agder Energi Nett is part of the public monitoring apparatus for electrical safety and is an obligation to carry out monitoring of electrical installations according to the instructions and guidelines from the Directorate for Civil Protection and Emergency Planning (DSB).

Agder Energi Nett owns and has operational responsibility for the regional and distribution grids in both Agder counties, a total of 20,900 km of lines and cables. The company distributes energy to 190,000 customers in Agder and is Norway's fourth largest network company.
