Varner, one of Northern Europe’s largest fashion groups, chooses Rejlers Embriq to monitor and operate the technical infrastructure. For a group with more than 1,500 retail outlets in eight countries and more than 10,000 employees, systems working as they should is critical – all the time.

The contract includes the monitoring and operation of Varner’s technical infrastructure on the M3 and IBM i platforms. The contract is to run for 36 months with the option of extension.

“We are very pleased to be able to welcome Varner as a client and offer our wide-ranging expertise in the Infor M3 environment,” says Director Operations Embriq René Eriksen from Rejlers. “We have invested heavily in this area and are now able to offer unique M3 and IBM i knowhow in the Nordics. In partnership with Ismotec AB, we offer a turnkey service in IT operations and proactive monitoring of business-critical installations,” says Eriksen.

“At Varner, we are completely dependent on our systems working the way they should to ensure that we are able to handle our day-to-day operations. This is especially true of M3,” explains Solution Architect Ole Martin Holt-Jacobsen from Varner. “Our business has always focused on efficient operations in our retail outlets, cost management and not least efficient logistics – combined with a high level of focus on the customer. We are now an international organisation with more than 1,500 stores in eight countries and more than 10,000 employees. This means that we are very much dependent on our systems working flawlessly and without downtime, around the clock, 365 days a year,” says Holt-Jacobsen.

“In addition to a unique M3 and IBM i environment, we also occupy a strong position in retail,” explains René Eriksen. “We are seeing many areas in which we will be able to help the retailers of the future generate value through more efficient operations and in-store customer experiences. That is why we have launched concepts such as Store Network Services and Connected Store. These concepts have been very well received and have already been rolled out in several hundred stores in the Nordics. In addition to Energy, Retail is now one of Rejlers Embriq’s main vertical markets,” concludes Eriksen.
