LAS VEGAS, NV and LOS ANGELES, CA (December 11, 2014) –After successfully launching its disruptive online shopping platform currently targeting women, Bungalow Clothing (bungalowclothing.com) led by former ReachLocal co-founder Rob Wright, has closed a round of financing to meet the accelerated demand for its offering.

The round includes Tony Hsieh’s Vegas Tech Fund, an early stage investment fund and community catalyst. Other California and Nevada-based investors participated including Zorik Gordon, former CEO and co-founder of ReachLocal (NASDAQ: “RLOC”) who will join the Company’s Board of Directors.

“This is a great group of investors who all recognize that we are truly changing the online shopping experience for the better,” said Rob Wright, Bungalow Clothing’s Chief Executive Officer. We’re all very excited about the traction we have been experiencing with our stylist-led dressing room experience and in-home event customer acquisition model. This capital from new investors will help us keep pace with customer demand and continue to grow our in-market network of sales representatives to all major markets in the US.”

Bungalow Clothing was founded in 2013 to change the online shopping experience and process. The Company provides personal styling services to create a dressing room for customers who have filled out a style profile. Customers are sent a dressing room filled with curated clothing selections and are able to try on clothing in the comfort of their own home without the burden of purchasing the items first. Return packages are picked up from the customer’s home or office by simply sending a text message to the company.

While the apparel and footwear market is approximately $400 billion and growing, U.S. online retail sales are only roughly 14% of the total. While other industries like travel have moved almost exclusively online, apparel shopping still remains primarily at brick & mortar retailers. Current online offerings do not replicate the risk-free and personal nature of shopping in the offline world. Bungalow has solved these major flaws by providing personally curated selections to the customer’s doorstep and allowing them to keep and pay for only the things they like.

“We are pleased to have backing from Vegas Tech Fund with their deep experience in ecommerce and other talented investors,” Wright continued, “Given the demand we are seeing, we are quickly scaling the business and expanding to penetrate new markets.”
