REMEC SIGNS A DEVELOPMENT AND LICENSE AGREEMENT WITH CISCO SYSTEMS, INC. San Diego, CA under which REMEC will develop, produce, and market access radio transceivers which will allow enterprises such as corporate campuses, colleges and universities, and small communities to exchange data, voice, and video and obtain high-speed internet access. REMEC will produce Outdoor Units (ODU), which are integrated antenna/transceivers for both head-end (base-station) and customer premise equipment terminals for point-to-multipoint communications in the Unlicensed National Information Infrastructure (U-NII) band. The ODUs interface with wireless router equipment enabling high data rate transmission directly to enterprise servers.
