Renewable negotiate billion SEK contract for wind generators offshore and onshore Renewable Energy in Sweden AB (publ.) has signed a Letter of Intent and is concluding contract negotiations for large scale wind power projects. The deal includes one offshore project and four onshore projects in cooperation with the Swiss company World Wind Industries Ltd. The offshore project comprises Skabbrevet, off Landskrona. Investment amounts to approximately 1000 million SEK with a production capacity of around 300 million kWh/year, equivalent to 20 wind turbine generators. The project will be turnkey*. The onshore project comprises four wind parks located in Scania. Investment amounts to 267 million SEK and the capacity is around 70 million kWh/year or the equivalent of 21 wind turbine generators. All plants are to be turnkey. All of these projects are estimated to be completed during 2002 and 2003. New employment will be created in Sweden as a result of the above agreement.
