Germany: Meat market to hit $36.5 billion by 2015 says new Marketline report

The Marketline report “Meat in Germany: Market Research Report” states that the German meat market had total sales of $35.5 billion in 2010, signifying a growth rate of 0.7% for the period from 2006 to 2010.

The meat products market includes all sales of fresh red meat, poultry and fish products. The Marketline calculates the market value at retail selling price using constant 2010 annual average exchange rates.

According to Marketline, Fish and seafood sales proved the most profitable for the German meat market in 2010, with total revenues of $4.6 billion, equivalent to 13.1% of the market's overall value. The performance of the market to value of $36.5 billion by the end of 2015.
