RepRisk releases Special Report on Uber Technologies Inc

Report this content

RepRisk has released a Special Report on Uber Technologies Inc., a US-based company that connects passengers with private hire vehicles via a smart-phone app.

The decision to release this report, soon after the tragic incident in Kalamazoo, Michigan that took place on Saturday February 20, 2016, was taken in a bid to illustrate that Uber had been already severely exposed to a variety of ESG risks – including ongoing criticism related to human rights incidents and allegations of negligence – prior to the recent tragedy.

In fact, Uber was ranked in fifth place in RepRisk’s Most Controversial Companies (MCC) 2014 report and in second place in its MCC 2015 report.
