New Managing Director of Resco continues development of the only full-range Internet consulting company in Sweden Torstein Johansen will take over as Managing Director of Resco at an Extraordinary General Meeting on 25 October 1999. On the same date, Kjell Jacobsson, outgoing Managing Director of Resco will take over the role as Executive Chairman of the Company. "This is a natural step in Resco's development," says Kjell Jacobsson, one of Resco's founders. "I will continue my involvement in the Company in the role of Executive Chairman. My main focus will be work on structural matters and acquisition as well as Resco's continued expansion abroad." At the end of the summer, a merger was carried out between Resco and Reference, one of Sweden's most prize-winning web bureaux. As a result, a company was created which will offer the market a unique combination of in- depth knowledge within business/operations development and web design as well as systems integration and business systems. "Our greatest advantage vis-à-vis our competitors is that the new Resco has precisely the distribution of skills that is demanded in large procurements of business-critical solutions," says Resco's Managing Director elect, Torstein Johansen. "My vision for the new Resco is to create the most innovative and successful Internet company in Sweden, concludes Torstein Johansen, who was previously Managing Director of Mind Innovative. The changes on the Board of Directors mean that Kjell Jacobsson will succeed Björn Ogard as Chairman. Mats Ohlson, a founder of Reference, will be appointed Board Member and at the same time, Kjell Strömlid will end his involvement on the Resco Board.
