Resco will strengthen their presence in the Nordic region by acquiring Major Blue Company

Resco will strengthen their presence in the Nordic region by acquiring Major Blue Company Resco AB have signed a contract of acquisition with the Finnish IT service provider Major Blue Company. With the deal Resco will have a strong position as an IT/Internet company in Finland with a total of about 100 employees with skills in CRM, Human Resources Management and ERP. In 1999, Major Blue Company reported sales of SEK 45 million (FIM 32 M) and profits of SEK 0.5 million (FIM 0.3 M). Payment will be made with 390,000 new-issued Resco shares. The deal, which will have a favorable effect on Resco's profits in 2000, excluding goodwill, is subject to the approval of the Annual General Meeting. As a result of the deal, Resco will consist of over 570 employees with cutting edge expertise in system integration, business systems, business development, market communication and design and operations in Sweden, Finland and Germany. "MBC was one of Finland's early adopters of the advanced Microsoft Distributed Internetwork Architecture (DNA), with the goal of ensuring continued profitable growth in the future." Examples of this include MBC's CRM and HRM products. CRM products, which support both WAP and browser user interface (UI), have already been certified for Windows 2000. MBC's HRM product is a breakthrough solution in its field, and also supports advanced browser technology.
