Raising accessibility to Resqunit's products in Canada.

Sandnes, Norway, February 23, 2022 - Resqunit AB, an ocean tech company today announced a distribution agreement with Enterprises Shippagan Ltd. in Shippagan, New Brunswick.

Enterprises Shippagan incorporated in 1977 and supplies fishermen all across Atlantic Canada, Quebec, as well as Maine, USA. A total addressable market of about 10 million units for our products.

"This is an agreement that will provide the best possible promotion and presence for our products in perhaps our most important market. This is yet another milestone in ensuring the best possible global distribution network for our products. We're looking very much forward to our first promotional activity together with Enterprises Shippagan already on March 25th, where Resqunit's products will be displayed and demonstrated at the largest booth in the Fish Canada Workboat Canada Show to thousands of potential customers. Fish Canada Workboat Canada is the country's largest commercial marine trade show. This is an excellent opportunity to kickstart our sales in this very important region, and we expect to draw massive attention both from the industry and media, with Sig Hansen from Discovery Channel's Deadliest Catch at our booth", says Helge Trettø Olsen, CEO of Resqunit AB.

The distribution agreement with Enterprises Shippagan Ltd. is effective immediately and covers all Resqunit products.

Resqunit is an ocean tech company developing innovative equipment to disarm and retrieve lost fishing gear. Through sensor data collection and software, the company aims to increase knowledge about the oceans and increase catch predictability. Every year between 500 000 and 1 000 000 metric tons of fishing gear is lost at sea. A significant amount of this consists of plastic, which over time dissolves into microplastic particles and enters the food chain. Lost gear harms both the fishing, animal stocks and the environment. Resqunit AB (publ) was founded in 2021 as a parent holding company (listco) holding 100% of the shares in the Norwegian subsidiary Resqunit AS, founded in 2017.
