Rettig Group becomes founding donor of the New Childrens’ Hospital in Helsinki
Rettig Group will make a donation worth at least one million euros to the New Children’s Hospital in Helsinki by providing the company’s heating products to the planned hospital. Rettig Group is the first founding donor to make an in-kind donation.
”Rettig Group is a Finnish family business that creates value for generations through sustainable and long-term growth. As a family business we understand the importance of the wellbeing of the family. While an appropriate working environment for the hospital staff is crucial when caring for sick children, the role and closeness of the parents is also very important. We are happy that we can support a project of this kind, which is so important for our society and future generations”, said Cyril von Rettig, Chairman of the Rettig Group Board.
”As the New Children’s Hospital serves all the children in the country, it is a nationwide project. The current premises of the Children’s Hospital, which were built in the 1940s, are in very bad condition and do therefore no longer serve its purpose. We are very happy and grateful that Rettig Group is supporting us with such a large donation. This is an effort that requires all possible support of both companies and private individuals”, said Anne Berner, Chairman of the board of Uusi Lastensairaala Tukiyhdistys 2017 ry and the foundation Uuden Lastensairaalan Tuki.
