Bordeaux celebrates a new jewel of first-class hospitality: In early summer 2007 the city will see the re-opening of its legendary Grand Hotel, located in the “Golden Triangle” of the historic centre and facing the Opera. The Radisson SAS Grand Hotel is the result of the authentic restoration of a splendid “palais bordelais” reflecting the rich history of the town, and it will be the French flagship of The Rezidor Hotel Group. The hotel features 150 rooms and increases the total number of new Rezidor-rooms opened in 2007 to 2.102. Between 2007 and 2009, Rezidor will add 20.000 rooms to its portfolio.

The 133 guest rooms and 17 suites of the Radisson SAS Grand Hotel are a masterwork of the world-famous designer Jacques Garcia. Guests will be fascinated by his eclectic, elegant and opulent design, combining the classical style of the 18th and 19th centuries with contemporary luxury and state-of-the-art technology, including flat screen television and free high-speed internet access. Some suites even offer a private wine bar.

Bordeaux is the most famous gourmet and wine capital in the southwest of France – and the Radisson SAS Grand Hotel pays tribute to this heritage. At the fine-dining restaurant “L’Océan”, Pascal Nibaudeau creates an innovative haute cuisine with local and international specialities, accompanied by the best wines from the nearby Bordelais. Pascal is supported by Yves Mattagne, Rezidor’s famous chef from the Michelin-starred restaurant “The Seagrill” at the Radisson SAS Royal Hotel in Brussels. In addition, the hotel features the “Brasserie de l’Europe” for casual wining and dining, the cosy “Bar Victor”, a prestigious wine cellar and a fashionable night club.

Guests seeking complete relaxation will enjoy the luxurious 1,000 square metre spa “Les Bains de Léa”. This world of wellness includes a rooftop indoor swimming pool with a sliding roof, a sauna and steam room, a gym and a solarium with a bar overlooking the city. Those with an urge to go shopping will also find their paradise in the hotel’s shopping arcade, where luxury fashion and jewellery boutiques will make it hard to resist.
