New Park Inn hotel in Norefjell, Norway

The Rezidor Hotel Group announces a new Park Inn hotel in Norefjell, Norway. The 140-room property Park Inn Nore Park is scheduled to open in late 2008/early 2009 – between 2007 and 2009 Rezidor will open 20.000 new rooms in total.

“The Nordics are one of our home markets and an important region for our further strategic development”, says Kurt Ritter, President & CEO of Rezidor. “Park Inn is our fastest growing brand and more and more visible in Norway – Nore Park is our fifth project in the country.” Norefjell is a famous ski area, just one hour away from Oslo and also known as “Oslo’s highest mountain”. During the Olympic Winter Games 1952 the downhill skiing races took place in Norefjell.

The new built Park Inn Nore Park will be part of a multi-purpose development including the hotel, apartments, retail areas, a golf course and an ice skating rink. Besides 140 modern guest rooms the property will feature two restaurants, a bar, meeting & conference facilities and a fitness centre.
