Norway: Re-opening of the Radisson SAS Hotel, Tromsø

The Rezidor Hotel Group has re-opened the Radisson SAS Hotel, Tromsø – one of Norway’s leading MICE markets. The property now features 186 fully refurbished and 83 new rooms. The number of Rezidor rooms opened in 2007 therefore increases to 2.398; between 2007 and 2009, the company will open 20.000 rooms in total.

The existing part of the Radisson SAS Hotel, Tromsø has been completely renovated, and a new part has been built in cooperation with the investor “Vital”. Guests are welcomed in a modern entrance and lobby area including bar, and benefit from a new kitchen and the new restaurant “Aurora”. Five meeting rooms were added to the conference centre which also comprises the largest congress hall in Norway. The 269 rooms, junior suites and suites are designed in the contemporary styles “Arctic” and “Chili” – following the interior room concept of Radisson’s “new breed” generation. A wellness- and relax centre with sea view completes the hotel’s first class services.
