The Rezidor Hotel Group announces a further expansion of its fastest growing brand Park Inn and brings it to two new countries: Egypt and Czech Republic. As from November 2007, the “Golden Resort by Rezidor” in Egypt will be named Park Inn Sharm el Sheikh Resort. The property will have an extension of 203 rooms, bringing the total number to 401. In early 2009, Rezidor will open two hotels in Czech Republic – the Park Inn Prague with 209 rooms and the Park Inn Ostrava with 186 rooms.

The Park Inn Sharm El Sheikh Resort represents the first Park Inn resort in the group’s portfolio – “underlining the brand’s aim to attract not only business- but also leisure travellers”, says Kurt Ritter, President & CEO of The Rezidor Hotel Group. After the extension, the property will comprise 78.000 square meters including a restaurant, three bars, a bowling centre, a shopping mall, tennis courts and an own Aquapark. The health club offers saunas, steam rooms, massages and beauty treatments. Guests have direct access to the beach – Sharm el Sheikh on the Southern tip of the Sinai peninsula is well known for its white sandy beaches and diving spots.
The Park Inn Prague will become a flagship property in Eastern Europe – established in a historic building with Art Déco façade located near the Vlatva river and Vysehrad Castle. Services will comprise a restaurant, a bar, leisure-, conference- & meeting facilities as well as a magnificent winter garden.
The Park Inn Ostrava is being built in the city’s business park and will feature a restaurant, a lobby bar, a health- & fitness area and meetings- & conference facilities. Ostrava is a stop on a major European transportation corridor and a thriving regional centre with strong growth in banking and service industries.
