Rezidor opens the first Radisson SAS Hotel in Kazakhstan
The Rezidor Hotel Group has opened the first Radisson SAS Hotel in Astana, Kazakhstan. “With this property, we underline the importance the Commonwealth of Independent States has for our development strategy”, comments Kurt Ritter, President & CEO of The Rezidor Hotel Group.
The new Radisson SAS Hotel is located in the old city center of Astana, adjacent to the bridge leading into the new part of town. It is part of the most exclusive lifestyle complex of the capital – called “Arman” (“dream”) and including a Business Center, a department store, an office tower, restaurants, recreation facilities, trade galleries, large commercial areas and a world-class fitness club and Spa.
The hotel offers 181 rooms and suites soaked in local flavours, styled with traditional arts and crafts, and equipped with modern amenities like flat screen TVs, free high-speed internet access and Nespresso coffee machines. Radisson SAS also has the most luxurious Presidential Suite in Astana, with views of River Ishim and the city from the 18th floor. The suite stretches over 275 square meters and comprises two en-suite bathrooms, a family room, a lounge, a study and a fully equipped kitchen. “Capri”, the signature restaurant of the hotel, is the perfect place for an al fresco dining even in cold winter. In addition, the hotel features a lobby bar, a cigar bar and a night club. Five meeting rooms range between 38 and 1200 square meters and are equipped with modern audiovisual technology.

The city is located in central Kazakhstan on the Ishim River in a very flat, semi-desert steppe region.
