Rezidor to open a new Park Inn Hotel in Glasgow

On June 15, The Rezidor Hotel Group takes over the hotel “The Langs” in Glasgow in order to rebrand it; as from October 1, 2007 the property will be named Park Inn Glasgow City Centre. It features 100 guestrooms – between 2007 and 2009, The Rezidor Hotel Group will open 20.000 new rooms in total.

Guests of the Park Inn City Centre will benefit from a restaurant, a bar, a spa- & fitness centre and a large meeting room. “The hotel is a perfect addition to our existing new breed Radisson SAS Hotel in Glasgow and an important step for our further development in Scotland”, underlines Kurt Ritter, President & CEO of The Rezidor Hotel Group.

The hotel is located in the heart of the city, close to the main shopping mall – Glasgow is known as the second best shopping destination outside London, and offers some of Scotland’s most stylish restaurants and bars in the hip quarter West End. In 1999, Glasgow was designated the UK “City of Architecture and Design” – furthermore, it is the UK’s largest retail centre after London.
