Rhea Lana’s of Northwest Arkansas Named Top Franchise

FAYETTEVILLE, AR - June 22, 2010 - Rhea Lana’s Children’s Consignment Inc. (www.RheaLana.com), recently honored the owner of its Northwest Arkansas sale with four awards for outstanding performance over the last year.  The awards were presented at the company’s annual franchisee meeting, held in Conway, Arkansas.

The organization’s most prestigious award, Top Franchise, was bestowed upon Rhea Lana’s Children’s Consignment Events of Northwest Arkansas (http://nwa.rhealana.com/) and its owner Ashley Shaver.  The award recognizes the franchise with the highest amount of sales, the largest amount of consignors and the largest percentage of items sold over the last year.  More than 27 franchises in 11 states were eligible to be selected for the recognition.

“Rhea Lana’s Children’s Consignment’s continued success is due in large part to the hard work and dedication of our franchisees,” said Rhea Lana Riner, President of Rhea Lana’s Children’s Consignment, Inc. “Ashley shares our commitment to adding value to the lives of families by providing excellent, quality merchandise at affordable prices. It is an honor to have her on the Rhea Lana’s team.”

Founded in Conway, Arkansas in 1997, Rhea Lana's Children's Consignment has hosted semi-annual events throughout the United States for more than 13 years. The sales draw thousands of shoppers and consignors seeking the cost-savings of purchasing and selling high quality used Children's Clothing.

“I am proud to be part of such an innovative company that is on the cutting-edge of the consignment event industry,” said Shaver.  “I also feel blessed to be able to provide the service of Rhea Lana’s Children’s Consignment to the families of Northwest Arkansas and walked away from the recent franchise conference feeling proud of our community for embracing the concept of families helping families.”

“Rhea Lana’s is a win-win for everyone involved,” continued Shaver.  “The consignors get to declutter their closets, recycle, and earn more money for their gently used items than they could anywhere else.  The shoppers have a unique opportunity to find everything they need for their children under one roof at a fraction of the retail price.  Finally, our parent volunteers get to earn the ability to shop early, but it also gives moms an opportunity to get involved in the community and network with other moms.”

Rhea Lana’s Children’s Consignment Events of Northwest Arkansas held its first sale in the fall of 2006 with 80 consignors and approximately 6,820 items.  The fall 2009 sale had 646 consignors participating and more than 64,000 items for sale.  According to Rhea Lana’s Children’s Consignment Inc, the Northwest Arkansas franchise’s 2010 sales figures were up more than 23% in the last year with its Spring 2010 sales 68% higher than the #2 franchise in the Company.

In addition to being selected the top franchise in the company, Rhea Lana’s Children’s Consignment Events of Northwest Arkansas was also recognized with awards for top sales, largest number of consignors and highest percentage of items sold.  A total of twelve “event performance” awards were distributed by the company during the annual awards event.
