RICHARD MILLE, PARTNER OF THE E.DAMS-RENAULT SINGLE-SEATER, ELECTRICALLY-POWERED MOTOR-RACING TEAM
On 13 September, Formula E cars will go head-to-head in the first ever FIA Formula E Championship for single-seater, electrically-powered racing cars. Richard Mille and the motorsport team E.Dams-RENAULT will be lining up on the starting grid of this first historic race around Beijing’s Olympic stadium.
The DAMS Team was founded in 1988 by Jean-Paul Driot to mentor and train young drivers for Formula 1. So far 27 of them have been propelled into this elite category of motorsports, including Romain Grosjean, Richard Mille partner and official driver for the Lotus F1 Team.
Alain Prost, four times F1 World Champion and Jean-Paul Driot joined forces to create the E.Dams-RENAULT Team in Formula E, with a single-seater capable of achieving 0 to 100 km/h in under 3 seconds, thanks to its 200 kW (270 hp) electric motor and a weight of just 888 kg.
The F1 driver Sébastien Buemi and his team-mate Nicolas Prost will drive the E.Dams-RENAULT at the wheel of the Spark-Renault SRT_01E – the only car accredited by the FIA for this competition – on the ten urban circuits, all specifically designed for these championships, located in some of the world’s greatest cities.
Formula E is founded on three core values: energy, environment and performance. This championship provides car manufacturers and constructors the opportunity to showcase their innovations in the field of electrical energy. This new discipline, supported by FIA President Jean Todt, provides a fantastic framework for developing new technologies that will very probably be adapted in the cars of tomorrow.

RICHARD MILLE, PARTENAIRE DE L’ECURIE DE MONOPLACES ELECTRIQUES E.DAMS-RENAULT
Le 13 septembre prochain, les voitures de Formule E s’affronteront lors du premier championnat FIA Formule E de monoplaces électriques. Richard Mille et l’écurie E.Dams-RENAULT s’aligneront au départ de cette première course historique autour du stade olympique de Beijing.
Fondée en 1988 par Jean-Paul Driot, l’écurie DAMS prépare et forme de jeunes pilotes à la Formule 1. Depuis, 27 d’entre eux ont accédé à la catégorie reine du Sport Automobile, la formule 1, dont Romain Grosjean, partenaire Richard Mille et pilote officiel du Lotus F1 Team.
Jean Paul Driot et Alain Prost, quatre fois champions du monde de F1, ont créé E.Dams-RENAULT pour la Formule E, une monoplace capable d’abattre le 0 à 100 km/h en moins de 3 secondes grâce à son moteur électrique de 200 KW (soit 270 cv) et son poids contenu de 888 kg.
Au volant de la Spark-Renault SRT_01E, unique voiture homologuée par la FIA pour cette compétition, le pilote de F1 Sébastien Buemi et son coéquipier Nicolas Prost concourront sur les dix circuits urbains spécialement dessinés pour ce championnat au coeur des plus grandes métropoles du monde.
La formule E se fonde sur trois valeurs fondamentales : l’énergie, l’environnement et la performance. Ce championnat donnera aux constructeurs l’opportunité d’exposer leurs innovations dans le domaine de l’énergie électrique. Soutenue par Jean Todt, président de la FIA, cette discipline inédite offre une structure fantastique pour le développement de nouvelles technologies qui seront ensuite très probablement adaptées à l’automobile de demain.
