Ripasso Energy AB’s nomination committee proposes that Gunilla Spongh shall be elected to serve as a member of the company’s board at an extraordinary general meeting to be held on 13 September. The proposal marks a step in the company’s preparation for listing on a regulated market in 2019.

Gunilla Spongh – whose former positions include CFO of Preem AB, Mekonomen AB and Cashguard AB – has been proposed by the nomination committee to serve as a new board member of the Swedish clean tech company Ripasso Energy AB. She also holds mandates as a board member of Momentum group AB (publ) and AQ group AB (publ), both of which are listed on Nasdaq Stockholm, and as a board member of the state-owned company Infranord AB.

“The nomination committee is very pleased to propose that Gunilla Spongh shall be elected to serve as a new board member of Ripasso Energy. In our opinion, Gunilla is just the person the company needs in order to take the next step towards a listing on a regulated market,” comments Pär Ceder, chairman of the nomination committee.

Ripasso Energy’s board recently announced that it intends to list the company on a regulated market in the third quarter 2019. The company believes that it is poised for rapid growth and wants to make it possible for a broader-based and more institutional group of investors to become shareholders in the company. As part of the preparations, the nomination committee was commissioned with evaluating the composition of the board and with identifying new candidates who possess the relevant skill set and experience.

The nomination committee proposes that Gunilla Spongh shall be elected to serve as a member of the company’s board at an extraordinary general meeting to be held on 13 September. She will replace Gerd Jakob, who is leaving the board.

“The nomination committee has done an excellent job. It is also a sign of strength and proof that Ripasso Energy is on the right path when a person of Gunilla Spongh’s calibre chooses to accept a directorship position. Gunilla will provide Ripasso Energy with exactly the experience and skill set that it needs in order to take the next step,” says Sven Sahle, Ripasso Energy AB’s Chairman of the Board.
