Eriksson Becomes Director, Head of European Origination

The Riverside Company has promoted Lars Eriksson to lead its European Origination Team. As Director, Head of European Origination, Eriksson will head up Riverside’s efforts to continue to find the best growing companies in which to invest throughout Europe.

Eriksson joined Riverside in 2007, and has covered both the Nordic countries and the UK from Riverside’s Stockholm office. Prior to joining Riverside, he founded an M&A advisory and investment business in Stockholm, which he ran from 2004 until 2007. Eriksson has also worked for UBS Capital in London, and spent five years in international M&A advisory in Stockholm and Frankfurt, Germany.

“We’re fortunate to have someone as experienced and well-connected as Lars leading our team,” said Riverside Managing Director Tony Cabral. “We are proud to be one of the world’s most active private equity firms, and our outstanding global origination team plays a key role in that activity.”

Riverside completed 22 acquisitions in 2013, and the firm has been very active in Europe recently, investing in three companies in the last month.

Riverside leverages its Global Origination team to evaluate and invest in growing middle-market companies throughout Europe, North America, and the Asia-Pacific region. The firm boasts the resources required to close deals quickly, then drive growth with proven tactics and strategies.
