Changes in the management of the RKW Group

Mannheim/Germany, May 31, 2022 – On June 1, 2022, Andreas Koppitz will be appointed Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) on the Executive Board of the RKW Group, thus completing the sales organisation of the leading global manufacturer of innovative, sustainable film solutions.

Andreas Koppitz comes from the Mondi Group, where he was Managing Director and since 2018 Chief Operations Officer (President) responsible for the Consumer Flexibles segment. His expertise includes the development and successful implementation of growth strategies, the management of global change processes and the integration of acquisitions. Andreas Koppitz graduated from Graz University of Technology with a Master of Science (MSc.) in Industrial Chemistry and from the Kellogg School of Management in Evanston with an MBA.

Axel Löbel new acting COO

Another change in the Executive Board comes into effect on 01 July 2022. Alexander Wansel is leaving the company at his own request to pursue new professional challenges. Until a successor for the position of Chief Operations Officer (COO) is found, Axel Löbel will assume this role on an interim basis.

On behalf of the entire Executive Board, I thank him for his successful commitment and wish him all the best for the future. My thanks also go to Axel Löbel, who has agreed to take on the role of COO on an interim basis. I wish Axel every success for this additional task."

Axel Löbel joined the RKW Group as VP Operations in March 2022 and has many years of international management experience as an Operations Manager. Previously, he held responsible operations positions at Procter & Gamble, Ontex and as COO at Melitta.

Mark van Dongen new Vice President Human Resources

 

Also on 01 July 2022, Mark van Dongen will take on the role of VP Human Resources. As part of a long-term succession plan, he succeeds Anette Hans, who will support Mark in his entry during a transition phase.

 

The 55-year-old van Dongen is an experienced HR leader who has worked and lived in various companies and countries, from leadership positions in the Dutch army to the consumer goods industry, renewable energy, chemicals and heavy industry. Mark van Dongen has extensive experience in HR management especially in the areas of personnel selection and assessment, leadership and organisational development as well as in the implementation of competitive remuneration and performance systems. Mark van Dongen holds a PhD in economics and teaches leadership development at the Luxembourg School of Business.
