RKW Vietnam Receives Blue Angel Eco Label

Frankenthal (Germany)/Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam), June 29, 2020 – RKW Vietnam has been awarded the Blue Angel certificate for using at least 80 percent recycled material in its products.

The Blue Angel is among the oldest and most highly respected environmental labels for products. The approval process is accompanied by a strict inspection of the products from raw materials to processing and use. "We are very pleased about the Blue Angel certification. It reflects our efforts to make our entire process chain and product life cycle sustainable," says Antony Taing, Site Manager at RKW Vietnam.

RKW Vietnam's Blue Angel-labelled products consist of at least 80 percent post-consumer recyclates certified under the EuCertPlast certification system. EuCertPlast (European Certification of Plastics Recycling) is a reliable scheme to promote environmentally friendly plastic recycling processes. The recyclates also meet the strict requirements of REACH, an EU safety regulation that stands for Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals. Products certified with the Blue Angel label will therefore meet comprehensive quality requirements for both the environment and consumers.

In addition, RKW Vietnam's films are designed for use in households, retail outlets, and institutions, with various product types such as films, T-shirt bags, Starseal bags, bin liners, and drawstring bags. They are suitable for products with different dimensions and volumes ranging from 5 to 200 liters.
