RNB reports December 2004 sales figures.

RNB´s sales in December 2004 excluding NK rose by 8.9% for comparable stores compared with the corresponding month a year earlier. Including NK, sales declined by 3.5% in comparable units compared with the preceding year.

The NK department store decided earlier to move its after-Christmas discount sales from December 26 to January 6. The change in the sale period results in a significant shift in sales revenues from December to January compared with the preceding year. As a consequence of the above, sales are reported in comparable units including and excluding NK sales for December 2004 and January 2005. As a result of the current restructuring in the company, the number of own stores at December 31, 2004 declined to 84 compared with 96 in the preceding year. Total sales in own stores amounted to SEK 108.3 M in December 2004, compared with SEK 131.8 M in the corresponding month in the preceding year.
