Robotics Innovation Challenge – opportunities and solutions for the commercialization of robotics
On February 9, 2012, the Swedish robotics initiative Robotdalen arranges a conference called Robotics Innovation Challenge. The day focuses on challenges and opportunities for the commercialization of robotics as well as solutions to enable commercial success. What are the needs of innovators, suppliers and end-users and how can we cooperate to strengthen the development of innovative robotic solutions? Experienced key note speakers give their insights. The winner of the international Robotdalen Innovation Award will also be announced.
- The Robotics Innovation Challenge will give the participants insightful input from experienced key note speakers and an opportunity to meet peers from the automation industry, manufacturing industry and health care sector as well as innovators, entrepreneurs and venture capitalists interested in the development of robotics and automation, says Michael Rydell, Project manager for the event.
The day kicks off with a number of key note speakers delivering head on speeches on challenges and opportunities in the field of robotics. Joining us, so far, is Paolo Dario, Professor at the BioRobotics Institute at the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna in Pisa, Italy, Per Strömberg, Director of the Institute for Financial Research (SIFR) at the Stockholm School of Economics and Anders Sandberg, Dr. at the Future of Humanity Institute at Oxford University. To guide us through the day we have Magnus Lindkvist, one of Scandinavia's most sought after lecturers.
Enabling commercial success
We also introduce an innovation catwalk, where Technology for Independent Life products will be displayed, giving a glimpse of some new innovations for the health care sector. The afternoon leaves plenty of room for personal meetings and head-to-head discussions on the challenges and solutions in a number of exhibition stands called Factory of the Future Fusion, Technology for Independent Life, Innovation & Business corner and Creative corner. The winner of the international competition the Robotdalen Innovation Award will also be announced.
- Robotdalen is an enabler of commercial success of new ideas and research within robotics and automation, says Michael Rydell. This event gives us an opportunity to invite people to fruitful discussions on overall challenges, valid for everyone, regardless if you’re from the industry, health care sector or if you’re an entrepreneur, innovator or venture capitalist.
The conference takes place in Eskilstuna, Sweden on February 9, 2012. For further information and registration please visit www.robotdalen.se/ric2012. To learn more about the Robotdalen Innovation Award please visit www.robotdalen.se/award.
