Hanwha Surfaces Brings Surfaces to Life through Living Art and Introduces 12 New Colors

Enhancing the HanStone Quartz Product Line at the 2011 Kitchen & Bath Industry Show in Las Vegas

Atlanta, GA – April 14, 2011 Hanwha L&C | Surfaces, the leading global manufacturer of quartz and acrylic solid surfaces, announced today it will feature a one-of-a-kind living art audience experience at the 2011 Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS) showcasing some of the new colors and patterns from their HanStone Quartz product line.  Through the use of camouflaging, living statutes and body paint, Hanwha Surfaces is truly bringing its HanStone Quartz products to life by providing an opportunity for attendees to see the recently unveiled Sabbia, Grigio and Indian Pearl in a whole new light at this year’s KBIS to be held in the City of Lights, Las Vegas.

“Bringing our surfaces to life through living art will truly be a unique experience for this year’s KBIS attendees,”

said Joe Thompson, Hanwha Surfaces vice president of sales and marketing.  “We want attendees to not only learn more about our company and products but to also experience the “wow” factor that we have created to showcase these innovative new color palettes,” he said.

Hanwha Surfaces will unveil a total of 12 new products and invite attendees to share their feedback on which colors and patterns they would like to see go to market first.  On display will be five new “wow” colors designed to meet the latest interior design trends and enhance the HanStone Quartz product line - Royale Blanc, Limelight, Slice of Ice, Purple Haze and Ultra Violet.  These new colors will truly “wow” KBIS attendees with hues that are unlike any other quartz surface product in the marketplace. Rich in shades of luxurious plum, cheerful lime and cool aquamarine tones, these new colors create an interesting and dramatic effect to blend with a variety of designs and color palettes. Along with these new brights, Hanwha Surfaces will also showcase new, more unique patterns in the quartz line featuring rich, luxurious pearl, browns, grays, gold and shades of blacks, as well as new products made with recycled glass and textured finishes.

On the acrylic solid surfaces side, Hanwha Surfaces will showcase unusual applications of several of the Hanex Solid Surfaces products. The company will feature creative applications and combination of colors and patterns to demonstrate how the ordinary surfaces can be brought to life with just the right materials. Attendees will also see a sample of how this unique surface can be heated and free-formed to create unique furniture pieces or accessories.

Representatives from Hanwha Surfaces will attend the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show at the Las Vegas Convention Center April 26-28, 2011 at booth C6166.
