Sweden takes the lead for worlds best air
Healthy Air Together. That is the theme of the worlds most important conference in
ventilation and indoor climate. 22-25 April 2024, researchers and industry meet at the
Stockholm International Fairs (Stockholmsmässan) for Scanvac’s RoomVent 2024.
At RoomVent 2024, researchers together with trade and industry will have the opportunity to
discuss current research articles from around the world. Five focus areas are on the agenda
for the conference; indoor climate, ventilation and energy performance, modelling and
measurement performance, commissioning and inspection as well as industrial ventilation.
- The general debate is characterized by energy efficiency in the built environment and this is
of course reflected in our program, says Jaana Petherbielke, CEO of Swedvac (EMTF),
which together with Svensk Ventilation and Stockholmsmässan Nordbygg will be hosting
Scanvac’s RoomVent.
- It is important to meet across national borders. Not least, the pandemic has shown that
solutions for fresh air and a healthy indoor climate are a field of research where we can really
benefit from common solutions and be inspired by others. Hence the theme for the
conference, Healthy Air Together, Jaana Petherbielke explains.
In 1987, the first international research conference RoomVent was held in Stockholm
organized by Scanvac, the Scandinavian Federation of Heating, Ventilation and Sanitary
Engineering Associations in Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden. Over the
years, the Scanvac conference has been arranged in several countries. Now 36 years later,
it is back in Sweden.
- This conference has always attracted great interest in the world of research and business.
The conversations and knowledge transfer taking place here influence the development of
the indoor climate throughout the world, Jaana Petherbielke notes.
RoomVent will be held April 22-25, 2024 with a gala dinner as a highlight. The conference
takes place at the Stockholm International Fair at the same time as Nordbygg is being
arranged in the halls next door.
- Nordbygg is the largest fair for construction planning in the Nordics, many exhibitors in
ventilation will be on site. It gives the participants at Scanvac’s RoomVent the opportunity to
meet more industry representatives than in other places where these synergistic effects
could not occur, says Lina Hann, project manager for Nordbygg.
