Ropo Capital, the leading invoice lifecycle provider in Finland, entered the Norwegian market with the acquisition of the information logistics company Posti Messaging in November 2020. Now the company continues its growth by acquiring BAHS Kapital. The goal of the company is to become the leader in invoice lifecycle management in the Nordics leveraging the unique inhouse developed invoice lifecycle software covering the whole value chain of receivables management.

Rapidly growing Ropo Capital continues to speed up its market penetration strategy in the Nordic countries through acquisitions. Now, the company has entered into an agreement to acquire all shares of BAHS Kapital AS. With the acquisition, Ropo Capital speeds up the launch of its automation-based invoice lifecycle service in the Norwegian market.

“We are about to introduce our invoice lifecycle concept in Norway and renew the industry with our unique single service provider model. Our solution automates the entire invoicing process from invoice delivery to payment monitoring and debt collection,” says Rickard Westlund, CEO of Ropo Capital. “With BAHS Kapital, we are ready to localize our service and take our leading-edge technology to the Norwegian market.”

BAHS Kapital is a well-known player in the credit management and debt collection industry in Norway with a strong foothold in the market. Established in 2014 by four executives coming from leading positions within the debt collection industry in Norway, BAHS Kapital is now a challenger in the industry and known for its flexibility, innovative mindset, and customer focus.

After the acquisition is finalized, BAHS Kapital’s CEO Tove Giske will join the Ropo Capital Group Management Team and lead Ropo Capital in Norway.

“I am excited about the growth journey that we are now starting together with Ropo Capital. We have witnessed Ropo’s strong expansion in Finland and Sweden, and we are thrilled to launch Ropo 24 and the full invoice lifecycle service in Norway”, says Tove Giske, CEO of BAHS Kapital. ”Norway is ready for the next generation services using automation, artificial intelligence, and real-time data. With our invoice lifecycle solution, we will change the way Norwegian companies have experienced invoice management.”

With the BAHS Kapital acquisition, Ropo Capital Group’s total revenue is approaching EUR 100 million and it will have around 400 employees in seven offices in Finland, Sweden and Norway. The Group serves more than 10,000 customers and delivers over 170 million invoices and other documents annually.

“With this acquisition, we will further strengthen our position in the invoice management business and continue in line with our growth strategy to become the Nordic market leader within our field,” says Rasmus Molander, Chairman of the Board of Ropo Capital. “We strongly believe that there is a demand for Ropo’s unique invoice lifecycle services also in Norway.”

The transaction is expected to close in March 2021. The parties have agreed not to disclose the financial details of the transaction.
