Roxar wins in Malaysia

Roxar has today received an LOI worth a total of NOK 21 million for topside meters and software for production data analysis to a major project offshore Malaysia.

The LOI covers both Roxar’s Wetgas meters and its newly launched software, the Roxar Fieldwatch and Fieldmanager. The Roxar Wetgas meters play a central role in production optimisation for the oil and gas field. Roxar’s Fieldwatch and Fieldmanager software can log all production data from the field and perform data analysis.

The Roxar Fieldwatch and Fieldmanager software bridge the gap between Roxar’s reservoir software and instrumentation hardware. Production data from the Roxar Wetgas meters becomes easily available to the operator for use in production planning, flow assurance and history matching of reservoir models.

“E&P companies today require a complete picture of their reservoir and production assets, but are all too often overwhelmed by raw data. A single oil or gas field can generate up to one terabyte of data per day, and the problem is to sort and distribute meaningful information. Roxar Fieldmanager and Fieldwatch play a crucial role in transforming data into valuable decision-making information. Roxar offers Integrated Operation solutions on a global scale for producing fields,” says CEO of Roxar, Gunnar Hviding.

Delivery will take place in the first half of 2009.
