Roxtec cable and pipe transits in FORAN CAD system

Report this content

To further simplify work for design engineers, cable and pipe sealing solution provider Roxtec now offers a 3D CAD library for the ship design software system, FORAN.

With the Roxtec 3D CAD library, design engineers can select and integrate Roxtec sealing solutions for cable and pipe penetrations in their designs without leaving the FORAN user interface.

This integration provides cable and piping penetration items for use onboard a wide variety of ships. Design engineers can find the solutions they need for everything from simple designs to advanced naval vessels.

Automatized efficiency

The correct use of safety seals depends on the right applicable standards, so it is an advantage to be able to perform the design in the most automatic way possible.

The current set of files is valid to perform the import into any ship project for the V80R3.0 and the V80R4.0 FORAN version and release. The set of files consists of:

  • Geometric macro files for cable transits
  • Geometric macro files for pipe transits
  • Geometric macro file with common routines for cable and pipe transits
