Sweden's first marketplace for NFTs Roya Edition just launched
Today, Sweden's first marketplace for NFTs, Roya Edition, launched. The marketplace is a niche platform for digital art, sound and photography within the lifestyle segment. The platform is based on Swedish values and wants to engage both consumers and brands that are interested in Web3.
Roya Edition, a new marketplace for NFTs, launched today. NFTs, or Non-Fungible Tokens, are a certificate of ownership of a unique digital asset uploaded to the blockchain.
“Roya Edition is a marketplace for everyone who is curious about the possibilities with web3. We want to help democratize culture and challenge other platforms by giving back as much as possible to the artists, performers and collectors”, said founder Mikael Afrooz. “In addition, we also help companies to establish and position themselves in web3.”
The marketplace offers lower fees than most other NFT marketplaces and has features (such as lazy minting and multichain) which both saves money for the users and reduces environmental impact. The marketplace also offers an infrastructure based on the Swedish model, which to some extent redistributes and balances profits and losses for the users. In addition, the marketplace helps companies to realize their ideas in web3.
Roya Edition is based in Stockholm and is driven by Swedish values of innovation and freedom of expression, it is an international marketplace.
Founders are brothers Mikael and Mahiar Afrooz, who are also venture capitalists with their own investment company Syncapital. Mahiar has a long experience of working with Blockchain after investing in various blockchain companies in the Middle East since 2012 and Mikael is an interior designer and designer. They both believe the possibilities with blockchain technology today are untapped. With the new marketplace, they want to open up for new ways and formats within the technology.
