ROYAL BLIND PUPILS CELEBRATE SENSES AT THE QUEEN’S HALL

Pupils at the Royal Blind School will perform for the first time at the Queen’s Hall next week.
‘Come to Your Senses,’ the performance at the Queen’s Hall on 20 June, is a celebration of the pupils’ achievements through their senses, movement and music. The pupils performing are blind or visually impaired, and some have additional disabilities and learning support needs.
The show will include a range of performances by pupils of all ages. Music includes a choir signing Abba, ‘The Boy and the Bunnet’ musical drama and a samba band. There will also be a sports display and presentations about the school’s eco-friendly activities and the pupils’ trip to France. Parents of pupils at the school will also participate in a short discussion on stage with Principal Julie Fardell about what the Royal Blind School means to families.

“Performing at the Queen’s Hall for the first time will be a big achievement for our pupils, who are really excited at the opportunity to demonstrate their skills in music, drama and sport in front of a public audience.”
