Excitement Brews as Sponsors announced for ‘Law & Order more Beer’ Festival
Nottingham-based insurance broking and risk managing firm, Russell Scanlan, is delighted to announce that it is the headline sponsor alongside Alea for the upcoming
Law and Order More Beer Festival. This will take place at the City’s Galleries of Justice Museum on Saturday 20th September 2014 in association with CAMRA.
Demand for craft beer and micro-pubs have increased hugely in recent years, resulting in a surge of new breweries across the East Midlands region and Britain as a whole. According to figures from CAMRA, the Campaign for Real Ale, 187 new breweries were launched across the UK last year alone[1]. This event is one of many that CAMRA supports, and it is designed to celebrate the resurgence of micro-breweries and introduce more consumers to the delights of various tipples produced on their own doorstep.
Mike Dickinson, Development Director at Russell Scanlan, said: “As well as offering insurance solutions for commercial businesses, small firms and private clients, we also specialise in a range of niche sectors – including museums and micro-breweries.
“Sponsoring this event offers us a great opportunity to reach out to our target markets, and to support the Galleries of Justice - with whom we have a long standing relationship – as well as the local economy. It will be a fantastic event for the community to enjoy.”
Taking place between 12noon and 11pm, visitors will have free access to the Galleries and the beer festival, which will brimming with local and nationally brewed fine ales, beers and ciders, live music from a medieval minstrel and hot food. For those looking for something a little spookier, the Galleries of Justice Museum will also be running their popular Ghost Tours throughout the evening.
Other local firms involved in supporting the event include The Shipstone’s Beer Company and Nottinghamshire Law Society, with the former sponsoring the music, and members of the latter sponsoring individual pins of ale.
Nicola Burley, Executive Director at the Galleries of Justice Museum, commented: “As an independent charitable business, we rely on sponsorship and support from local businesses to ensure that events like this are commercially viable and benefit the entire community. We’re extremely pleased to have Russell Scanlan, Alea, Shipstone’s Beer Company and the Nottinghamshire Law Society on board for what promises to be a hugely popular and fun-packed day out for beer and ghost fans alike.”
