Rust-Oleum invites do-it-yourselfers to join its new crowdsourcing community
Coatings company introduces Creator’s Studio by Rust-Oleum
VERNON HILLS, Ill. Oct. 1, 2015 – Rust-Oleum – a leading global coatings manufacturer – is turning to the power of crowds to help innovate and create new product and application ideas. Introducing Creator’s Studio by Rust-Oleum – the crowdsourcing website designed exclusively for the do-it-yourself (DIY) community. These are people who are passionate about paint and stain projects for home, hobby and automotive. Anyone is welcome to join the community on creatorsstudio.com to co-create, innovate and share ideas. The initiative was announced today.
Creator’s Studio by Rust-Oleum will feature weekly events to engage community members and get their creative juices flowing. The site will feature everything from “Ask the Expert” sessions where Rust-Oleum associates will answer questions about specific topics, to general chats where advice and tips can be shared among the community. Every few months, Rust-Oleum will pose an innovation challenge where community members can post their submissions, vote and comment on each other’s ideas. The winner of the challenge will receive a prize as well as earn a special VIP status within the community.
