Enskilda employs three in Russia Enskilda Securities has recruited three people in Russia, they are: Lars Bergström, former Managing Director of ABN Amro, Russia, Gustaf Stolpe, formerly Chief Financial Officer of ABN Amro, Russia and Galina Ponomareva, secretary to the aforementioned gentlemen. From April 1999, Lars Bergström and Gustaf Stolpe will be monitoring the Russian market for Enskilda Securities. They will also be working in an advisory capacity as regards Russian-Nordic business. "At the moment we have no business operations going on in Russia but, despite the fact that the current situation looks uncertain, we see great potential as regards corporate business on the Russian market. Therefore, it is encouraging that we have been able to recruit such knowledgeable people." says Lars Linder-Aronson, Head of Enskilda Securities. "We shall start in a small way and will follow development carefully, growing at the same rate as the market does. Russia is an important neighbouring market for us and exerts a great influence on many Swedish companies. Therefore, it is understandable that we want to be where our customers are." he continues. Permission required to facilitate incorporation, has now been obtained, from the Swedish Supervisory Authority.
