Enskilda Securities rated Sweden's top broker. According to the annual survey, conducted by Euromoney magazine, Enskilda Securities has been rated best broker in Sweden. For the first time, Enskilda Securities has ousted Alfred berg from the number one position as regards both research and execution. Enskilda Securities was also ranked highly in the other Nordic countries, securing the number one spot for execution in both Norway and Finland, as well as coming second in Denmark. In the words of Euromoney: "A significant shift in power is taking place in Scandinavia with Enskilda Securities replacing Alfred Berg at the top of several rankings across Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland." Euromoney's ranking shows Enskilda Securities as having 36 points for research. Alfred Berg, in second place, with 30 points and, in third place, Carnegie with 18 points. As regards best execution, Enskilda Securities has 25 points, Alfred Berg 20 and Carnegie 10. "When Enskilda Securities became a separate business unit at SEB, we set our goal, which was to be ranked number one in the Nordic region as regards both research and execution. These results show that we are now moving in the right direction and, naturally, we are pleased about it." says Lars Linder-Aronson, Head of Enskilda Securities and Executive Vice-President of SEB. "We can now begin to reap the rewards of the changes that have taken place," says Fredrik Nygren, Head of Nordic Research, Equities. "For a long time we have been developing, expanding and refining our Nordic research products." "From Enskilda's point of view the changes are part of the restructuring process and greater emphasis on a sectorial approach brought about by the need to compete with global players." Göran Tornée, Head of Equities at Enskilda Securities, Stockholm told Euromoney. Even in the other Nordic countries, Enskilda Securities has risen significantly on the ranking lists. In Norway, Enskilda has taken over the number one spot from Alfred Berg as regards execution. When it comes to research, Enskilda remains in second place, with 17 points as opposed to Alfred Berg's score of 18. In Finland, Enskilda takes first place for execution and second place for research In Denmark, Enskilda has climbed from fifth to second place, after Alfred Berg for research, and has consolidated its second place for execution, also after Alfred Berg.
