Producing our 100th Giraffe 1X and bringing the new I&V facility online is a significant step for our Sensor Systems team. These achievements demonstrate the strength of our people and the powerful combination of Swedish engineering and British manufacturing capability.

Watching the students take their ideas from the drawing board, turn them into working ROVs, and confidently explain how their designs could help protect the oceans was incredibly motivating. Doing this in the same environment where professional ROVs are engineered every day made the experience even more powerful, and you could really see their excitement and curiosity grow as the day progressed.

The GUH is extremely proud of our long running STEM Challenge campaign, a truly inspiring, technology led competition that also carries a powerful environmental message for young people. Every year we are impressed by the creativity, knowledge and capability shown by students taking part. It’s also a fantastic way to showcase the underwater sector, a vital part of the UK economy, while giving young people visibility of STEM careers they might otherwise never have encountered, and helping connect them to the exciting opportunities the industry offers across the country. Giraffe 1X delivers a proven capability that can be rapidly deployed to meet evolving threats, including drones. By producing these systems in Fareham, we are not only delivering world-class technology but also supporting UK industry and sovereign capability – critical for supporting our allies with their defence.

This contract reflects our commitment to strengthening collective security through advanced radar technology needed to maintain operational advantage and protect shared interests.

Saab is delighted to lead this pivotal project for NATO. All of the MANGROVE consortium's expertise and collaborative focus for the next 12 months will be on the successful development of a mission network for NATO’s operations in the underwater battlespace. As all aspects of the underwater domain grow in their strategic significance, this will be a critical contribution to our collective maritime security and defence.

The AUWB-MN project is a significant step forward in the modernisation of our warfighting capabilities and the ability for NATO allies to operate effectively together in the underwater domain of the future. We are confident that Saab and the Mangrove consortium will deliver a robust and effective mission network that strengthens NATO's maritime defence.

DISA International’s decision to continue investing in the Seaeye Falcon is a testament to the trust our customers place in the reliability, performance and flexibility of our systems. Delivering our 600th Falcon to a long-term partner like DISA International is a suitable milestone in the manufacturing of British designed and built subsea vehicles.

The Falcon is our go-to vehicle for operations from smaller vessels. It’s compact, easy to set up, and can be launched with an onboard crane, making it ideal for rapid mobilisation. Performance-wise, we’ve always been very satisfied.
