Håkan Buskhe appointed new President and CEO of Saab

The board of the defence and security company Saab has appointed Håkan Buskhe as new President and CEO. Buskhe will take up his position on 1 November 2010 at the latest.

Håkan Buskhe is currently CEO of E.ON Sweden and President of E.ON Nordic, with operations in the Nordic countries and in Poland. He is 46 and holds a Master of Engineering from Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg. “In Håkan Buskhe, Saab will have a President with great experience of working in an international group. Buskhe has all the requirements needed to lead Saab in its development as an increasingly global high technology company,” says Marcus Wallenberg, chairman of the board of Saab. As previously announced, current President and CEO Åke Svensson will leave Saab on 1 September 2010 to become President of the Association of Swedish Engineering Industries.
