Håkan Buskhe takes office as President and CEO of Saab

Håkan Buskhe takes office as President and CEO of the defence and security company Saab today, 1 September 2010.

"I’m looking forward to lead Saab towards the objectives of increasing market presence, creating a more focused product portfolio and improving efficiency," says Håkan Buskhe.

Håkan Buskhe is joining Saab from the energy industry, where he was President of E.ON Sweden and CEO of E.ON Nordic with operations in Scandinavia and Poland. Håkan Buskhe is 46 and holds a degree of Licentiate of Technology from Chalmers University of Technology.

Saab's board of directors appointed Håkan Buskhe as President and CEO of Saab on 26 April.

“In Håkan Buskhe, Saab will have a President with great experience of working in an international group. Buskhe has all the requirements needed to lead Saab in its development as an increasingly global high technology company,” said Marcus Wallenberg, chairman of the board of Saab, when announcing the appointment earlier this year.
